Happy New Year from HNC! We hope you all had a great holiday season and are ready for what HNC has in store for 2020!
We first want to highlight some exciting new website features! Once you log into the members page, there is now a “Kids Events Calendar” tab, we’ve searched the internet high and low to put together all the drop in activities the South Shore has to offer, while some of these are free and some are pay as you go you can find all the information easily available through the calendar! So no more afternoons or weekends wondering how to entertain your kids- HNC has you covered. Our second roll out is the new HNC blog! This will include past and current newsletters and other hot topics around town! Our goal is to make our website your go to for the social scene both kids and adults! Looking to get more involved?! We’ve got a variety of sub groups that HNC runs, and we’re looking for new members! Love to read? We can add you to our ever popular and long running book clubs. Just email hncbookclub@gmail.com. The task is simple, read a book every month or so, meet with women to drink wine and discuss. Trust us, there is NO downside to joining! Looking to meet other moms and make friends for your kids? Then playgroups is for you!! Just email hncbaby@gmail.com with your name and child (or children) information and we will pair you with a group! Playgroups are one of the great ways both children and adult friendships can grow, no one regrets joining! Lastly- are you expecting, just had a baby or know someone in the club is? Well HNC wants to help with this new addition to your life, by providing a few meals- for free!! This is one of the features that truly makes our club so unique, the meals are provided by fellow members, maybe veteran moms who know the struggle of the long nights a newborn requires or just a nice friend who wants to help! Bye, Bye Eventbrite! Thank you for your patience as we continue to work on finding the simplest way to provide access to members for RSVPing and purchasing tickets to events. After experimenting with Eventbrite this fall, we have ultimately decided to return to ticket sales on our website. The costly fees did not seem to outweigh the benefits of the switch so we hope this switch back will make everyone happier (and life a bit more simple!)
Please find all upcoming events on our website and purchase tickets under the member log-in using PayPal. If you are having trouble logging in please reach out to the club email (hinghamnewcomers@gmail.com) and we will do our best to assist you! If you have forgotten your log-in or password there is a way to reset it directly on the website!
New Website RSVP Feature!!!
Since we are all here to make friends, sometimes it is nice to see who is going to an event when you are signing up! A new website feature has been added so members can see the "guest list" on our events page. After logging in, members who have purchased tickets will be listed under the event details on the page. Please see the screenshot to help you navigate this on the website!

Dinner Club: Any takers?? As a board we have been discussing bringing back some of the oldie but goodie activities of HNC's yonder years. One of the beloved traditions was a progressive dinner club where interested individuals could sign up to be added to a dinner club. What is a dinner club?? Traditionally, a progressive dinner club involves attending three different host homes for appetizers, dinner and dessert. Hosts rotate and all individuals involved contribute. We are still ironing out the details but wanted to poll club members to see who might interested in joining! Please email hinghamnewcomers@gmail.com if you are interested!
