About HNC
Our mission is to welcome new residents as well as help existing Hingham residents and families meet new friends and integrate into a social network within our town.
Our History
Hingham Newcomers Club has proudly been a part of the Hingham community for over 50 years! In the late 1960s/early 1970s, a local woman organized a local chapter of Welcome Wagon to Hingham, a national organization dedicated to welcoming newcomers to town. She would bring a welcome basket to new community members and residents and after gaining in popularity, her initiatives evolved into the Hingham Newcomers Club.
Today, the Hingham Newcomers Club is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to welcoming both new and existing residents to our community through social and volunteer events.
Leadership
The Hingham Newcomers Club is volunteer-run by our board. The board is responsible for the management of the club and planning our events and initiatives.
